Weight Loss Tips for a Healthy Safe and Effective Weight Loss Program


If you are looking to lose weight and would like to follow a program that has been clinically proven to be safe and effective in this article is for you. This will be the first in a series of articles will explain how and what you should do in order to not only get rid of your fat but to be healthy as well.

Weight Loss Tip Number 1
When you wake up every morning after sleeping for eight or nine hours you have actually been fasting. Because of this it is always a good idea to have the first meal of your day with the first 60 to 90 minutes of waking up. The reason for this is purely chemical. More often than not if you do not eat within the first 60 to 90 minutes of waking up your body will think that you were starving and as such it will go into starvation mode. When your body is in starvation mode most of the food that you eat during that time usually be stored as fat. So even if you are not really a breakfast person it is in your best interest to eat something healthy. You should eat a source of protein and a healthy sugar / carbohydrate. An example of this would be a cup of sugar free yogurt at a cup of fruit like blueberries or strawberries were even eating half of a grape-fruit.

Weight Loss Tip Number 2
After breakfast you should try to eat something every 3 to 4 hours. This will hopefully keep your blood insulin levels balanced and also keep your sugar levels balanced as well. Your goal is to eat 4 - 6 small meals every day. This will actually decrease your cravings for sugar and junk food. You and everyone else will be surprised at how much weight you are losing even though you may seem like you are eating all day long. In fact he will be eating all day long but you will be eating foods that will make you healthy and skinny at the same time.

Weight Loss Tip Number 3
The three main meals, breakfast lunch and dinner should consist of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fat. The protein category, usually consist of foods such as meat chicken or fish and eggs. When we say carbohydrates we mean good healthy carbohydrates like vegetables. Please remember to eat a variety of vegetables, all different colors and raw as well as cooked. I actually recommend my weight-loss clients to eat 2 pounds of vegetables every day.
I recommend that they eat a pound of raw vegetables like lettuce, celery, cucumbers and all kinds of sprouts. I mentioned this because you recommend someone to eat raw vegetables they picture themselves eating the raw broccoli and carrots all day long. So go to the produce section at your grocery store go crazy trying all different kinds of vegetables. I also recommend that my weight-loss clients eat 1 pound of cooked to vegetables every day as well.
Please do not ruin the vegetables and add tremendous amount of useless calories by cooking them in butter. Now, you are allowed to eat butter as it is considered a healthy fat but even healthy fats have to be eaten in moderation. If you are not sure what I healthy fat is the least look for my future articles as I will give a detailed list of the optimal food choices for your proteins, starches, fats and even fruits.

Weight Loss Tip Number 4
Please try to drink at least 64 ounces of water every day. I am actually going to recommend that you go to your local organic health food store and pick up some pH water or you can add pH drops to your regular drinking water. I have found that drinking 64 ounces of water every day has actually facilitated my own weight loss and that of my clients as well. When I started adding the pH drops to my usual drinking water I was amazed at how I lost some additional weight and actually broke through a plateau.

Weight Loss Tip Number 5
In a perfect world I would have you stop eating at 7 PM, however, I realize that this is not realistic in today's world. So what I am going to ask of you is that you try to stop eating three hours before you actually go to bed.

If you have to eat during this time I will suggest that you eat raw vegetables or vegetables that have been slightly cooked and made soft and you can also eat raw apples. In fact apples are so good for you I would recommend that you eat 2 to 3 apples every day, unless you have a medical condition for which your doctors have recommended that you do not eat fruit.

This program may not be as flashy, trendy or even as sexy as some of the popular diet of the week programs but believe me when I tell you that it does work and has withstood the test of time in proving its effectiveness and safety.
